Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) seeks a Program Coordinator for the AI Center in the College of Medicine. The role focuses on coordinating day-to-day AI center operations, supporting AI educational programs, and managing grants and events on a on-site basis in Chicago, IL.

The incumbent will serve as the main liaison for faculty, staff, learners, and external partners, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth execution of AI-related activities across the DME.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of operational experience in emerging technologies for education, including AI learning platforms.
• Master’s Degree preferred for the duties described.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate center operations, communications, scheduling, documentation, logistics, and follow-up across AI initiatives.
• Develop working familiarity with AI platform functions, workflows, and user needs.
• Serve as primary contact for faculty, staff, learners, researchers, vendors, and collaborators using DME platforms.
• Maintain organized records of center activities, programs, events, grants, platform use, contacts, meeting notes, decisions, and outcomes.
• Track AI platform finances/charges and analyze usage data.
• Support learners and faculty in DME AI educational programs, including certificates and AI workshops.
• Coordinate enrollment processes, records, calendars, materials, and participant communications.
• Coordinate grants and budgets for AI projects; assist with reporting and submissions.
• Plan logistics for AI events and assist with meeting materials and follow-ups.
• Assist with internal/external communications and documentation for reporting and planning.
