Job summary

Veeam is offering a paid AI & Automation Engineering Internship for the 2027 Summer program. The 10-week role runs June–August 2027, with onboarding and weekly professional development. You will design AI-driven tools and automations, prototype agents, and collaborate with a global CoE team to scale impact beyond the internship.

You’ll learn to evaluate AI platforms, work with APIs, and document your work for ongoing use, while presenting results to CoE leadership at the program's end.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or a graduate student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Python preferred) through coursework, personal projects, or prior internship
• Familiarity with AI and large language model concepts and applying them to real problems
• Comfort working with APIs, scripting, and connecting systems together
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; high-energy, self-starter

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test AI-driven tools, agents, and workflow automations
• Partner with team leads to identify repetitive high-volume work and convert into automated or AI-assisted solutions
• Build automation around internal feedback loops so information moves faster
• Evaluate AI platforms, frameworks, and tooling and recommend where they add value
• Document and hand off what you build so the team can maintain and scale it after the program ends
• Present your work and recommendations to CoE leadership at internship end
