Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join the CS Operations – GTM Automation & AI team. You will design, build, and evolve AI-driven applications, chat assistants, and workflow automations to empower post-sales revenue teams.

Collaborate with AI Integration, Data, and Enablement to turn ideas into high-impact capabilities in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a broad stack including Python, orchestration platforms, and leading LLMs, driving performance and scale across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years professional experience.
• Experience building AI applications with demonstrated results.
• Experience in GTM, ideally within post-sales functions such as Customer Success.
• Strong command of advanced prompt engineering; constructs context for accurate model output.
• Experience architecting multi-agent systems for performance, reliability, and scale.
• Working knowledge of Python; distinguishes between prompt-level vs code-level implementations.
• Hands-on with enterprise orchestration platforms and LLM platforms; familiarity with Salesforce, Gainsight/Totango, Clari, Gong, Pendo, Snowflake/Redshift, AWS, Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Evolve AI chat assistants and conversational AI.
• Design and build AI-driven workflow automations.
• Optimize AI architecture and select AI tooling across vendors and clouds.
• Integrate AI capabilities with CS tech stack (Salesforce, Gainsight, etc.).
• Build agentic CS applications and define human-in-the-loop guardrails.
• Collaborate with AI Integration and Data teams to expand data access and connectivity.
