Job summary

Seward & Kissel LLP is seeking an AI Solutions Automation Engineer to design and deliver AI-driven automation within the firm’s Microsoft 365 environment, reporting to the Head of AI and Innovation. You will lead Copilot-based automation, Power Automate workflows, and knowledge solutions grounded in SharePoint and OneDrive.

This hands-on role emphasizes practical delivery, governance, and quality, with plans to mentor a junior engineer and scale delivery across the firm.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of enterprise software engineering or solutions architecture experience.
• Hands-on Microsoft 365 automation experience with Power Automate and SharePoint/OneDrive.
• Experience in regulated environments such as legal or professional services.
• Strong understanding of solution architecture, workflow design, and system integration.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-driven workflow automation using Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Automate, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and Graph.
• Select and implement appropriate Microsoft 365 extensibility patterns based on requirements and data sources.
• Architect human-in-the-loop automation preserving review and professional judgment for regulated workflows.
• Develop reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and implementation standards.
• Ensure governance-aligned engineering with permissions, DLP, and environment separation.
• Partner with IT, Security, and Compliance to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, testing evidence, and release materials for deployment.
• Own quality by testing, validation, and issue remediation; provide post-deployment support.
• Mentor and train a junior automation engineer to scale delivery over time.
