Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking an AI and Business Systems Intern to join the team in Grand Rapids, MI. This 20-hour/week internship runs 1/11 through 4/23, offering hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, process improvement, and the systems that support a manufacturing company.

You'll work with the Business Systems team to design Copilot agents, map business processes, and communicate results to leadership while learning how AI can enhance daily operations.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or Industrial Engineering.
• Interest in AI tools and how they can improve the way people work.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable learning new tools independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test 1-2 Microsoft Copilot agents that help employees work more efficiently.
• Meet with employees across departments to understand their needs and gather requirements for agent development.
• Map current business processes for open Business Systems projects, documenting each step, handoff, and system involved.
• Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes.
• Create clear process maps, flowcharts, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with testing new systems and features to confirm they work as intended.
• Explain technical concepts in plain language to non-technical team members.
• Present project progress and final results to the Business Systems team and Leadership.
• Coordinate other projects as assigned by the Business Systems Manager.
