Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking an AI and Analytics Specialist to drive AI initiatives across Workforce Benefits from concept to production. You will design, implement, and deploy generative AI and advanced analytics to improve underwriting, claims, enrollment, service, and operations.

You will partner with business leaders and tech teams, ensuring responsible AI practices, governance, and measurable business impact while delivering dashboards and actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in AI, analytics, data science, ML, or related disciplines with production delivery.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, CS, Eng, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with enterprise AI platforms and large language models (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure, OpenAI).
• Hands-on with AI application patterns including prompt engineering, RAG, knowledge extraction, evaluation frameworks, AI agents, and workflow automation.
• Strong Python skills, APIs, cloud platforms, and DevOps/MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of AI and analytics solutions across Workforce Benefits.
• Develop and deploy generative AI, ML, and advanced analytics capabilities (knowledge extraction, RAG, agents, workflows).
• Partner with business and technology teams to translate needs into scalable AI solutions integrated with data sources and platforms.
• Own initiatives from proof of concept to production, adoption, governance, and value realization.
