Job summary

Avelo Airlines, Inc. is expanding its AI capabilities with a hands-on Agent Manager role. You will design, build, and govern AI agents powering data and operational workflows on Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, Claude API, and Copilot Studio.

You will implement governance, safety protocols, and escalation paths for enterprise AI, collaborating with BI and Data Engineering teams to deliver production-ready agent solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure AI Foundry-related certs strongly preferred.
• Additional relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Anthropic prompt engineering, Copilot Studio) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabric Data Agents — Design, Build & Own: expose semantic models and lakehouse datasets for natural language querying via Copilot and surfaces.
• Define data surface boundaries, grounding constraints, and ensure source-attributed agent responses.
• Create evaluation harnesses to test agent outputs against ground truth before publish.
• Monitor agent performance, usage, and failure patterns; iterate as models/data evolve.
• Collaborate with BI to align surfaces with certified semantic models; prevent uncertified metrics.
• Fabric Operations Agents — Design, Build & Own: monitor pipeline health, detect anomalies, automate remediation, escalate as needed.
• Define event surfaces, alert conditions, and action schemas; document decision logic and escalation.
• Implement human-in-the-loop for actions affecting data or production systems.
• Maintain an agent registry with purpose, data access, and deployment status.
• Work with Data Engineering to instrument pipelines with observability hooks.
• Azure AI Foundry — Orchestration & Deployment: build, evaluate, and deploy multi-agent workflows; manage deployments.
• Claude & Anthropic Platform: build production-grade Claude agents; configure MCP servers and tool schemas; apply prompt engineering best practices.
• Copilot Studio & Microsoft Copilot: configure Copilot Studio agents; connect to internal surfaces; define escalation paths.
• Agent Governance, Safety & Lifecycle Management: define policies, risk tiers, review cadence, and incident procedures.
• Collaboration & Enablement: partner with BI and Data Engineering; produce documentation; train team in prompt engineering and responsible AI.
