Job summary

Avalara is seeking a highly technical leader to architect and scale a fleet of AI agents powering Revenue Marketing. You will own agent quality, governance, and orchestration across multiple pillars, collaborating with GTM teams to embed agents into workflows while defining guardrails and roadmaps for reliability and business impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing tech, ops, or AI/automation engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents or LLM workflows, incl. prompt engineering, orchestration, and API integrations.
• Fluency with core B2B marketing platforms (Marketo, Salesforce, 6sense, Power BI, ON24) and agent integration.
• Senior IC with technical SME reach, able to influence without headcount authority.
• Strong grounding in full-funnel B2B revenue marketing to ensure agents solve GTM problems.
• Experience owning technical roadmaps and governance in a matrixed org.
• Strong stakeholder management; translate technical capability into business impact.
• Comfortable managing agents vs humans; focus on building/orchestrating over adding headcount.

Responsibilities

• Own the roadmap and prioritization for the shared agent fleet across core pillars.
• Develop, test, and deploy agents across the fleet and integrate with core marketing systems.
• Establish QA, monitoring, and guardrails for reliable production-scale operation.
• Define standards for agent accuracy, reliability, and responsible operation.
• Enable and train teams to use and interpret agent outputs; translate needs into shared capabilities.
