Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an AI Success Engineer to be the primary post-sales contact for our most important customers. You will drive account health, adoption, and measurable business impact across a portfolio, guiding deployments from initial integration to scale.

You will partner with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Product, and Research to translate customer goals into adoption plans, lead deployment health activities, and develop repeatable guidance and playbooks that accelerate value realization.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as TAM, technical success, or enterprise SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of OpenAI product capabilities, APIs, connectors, and deployment patterns.
• Able to interpret logs, telemetry, and system behavior in business terms.

Responsibilities

• Own post-sale technical success, adoption, and value realization across a large portfolio of customers.
• Act as a trusted advisor on deployment health, adoption strategy, and value realization for ChatGPT, API, Codex, and related capabilities.
• Use logs, telemetry, usage patterns, and customer feedback to diagnose issues and guide practical recommendations.
• Lead targeted interventions for launches, risk signals, escalations, renewal preparation, and high-potential expansion opportunities.
• Translate customer goals into prioritized adoption plans, success milestones, and measurable KPIs.
• Conduct technical enablement and configuration guidance with scalable playbooks and 1:many engagement.
• Identify repeatable use cases and adoption patterns to inform scalable guidance and reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Solutions Architecture, Product, Engineering, and Sales to move outcomes forward.
• Know when to go deep or route to specialist partners for complex work.
