Job summary

Principal Global Investors in Des Moines is seeking a Data & Analytics Consultant to help advance AI literacy and organizational readiness across Benefits & Protection, aligning business needs with analytics capabilities. You will partner across business, product, technology, and analytics teams to evaluate opportunities and enable sustainable adoption of D&A capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, engineering, or business analytics.
3+ years of related analytics, consulting, project management, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industry preferred.
Proven consulting, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business language.
Experience helping teams adopt new tools, technologies, or processes.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage a variety of audiences and leadership levels.

Responsibilities

Advance AI literacy and organizational readiness through practical education, coaching, and enablement activities.
Facilitate workshops, demonstrations, forums, office hours, and learning experiences focused on AI, analytics, and emerging technologies.
Help teams understand and evaluate how AI and D&A capabilities may support business objectives.
Translate between business needs, technical possibilities, and organizational considerations to support informed decision-making.
Increase visibility and connectivity across AI efforts by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and relevant resources.
Guide the integration of AI and analytics capabilities into business processes, decision-making practices, and ways of working.
Develop relationships across business, product, technology, analytics, and risk teams to foster collaboration and adoption.
Represent Benefits & Protection perspectives within enterprise AI and D&A communities and forums.
Contribute to the continued evolution of Analytics Consulting and emerging D&A capabilities.
