Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking a CPR/First Aid Instructor for the American Heart Association pool on a part-time, as-needed basis. Instructors teach BLS CPR/AED and First Aid, lead lectures and skills demonstrations, grade assessments, and complete post-course paperwork.

Some travel may be required and candidates must hold AHA BLS instructor certification. Instructors work on contract/part-time hours and may be contacted by the hiring manager for scheduling.

Qualifications

• Certifications in related field and/or High School Diploma is required.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Must be an AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION INSTRUCTOR (BLS) – NOT American Red Cross.
• Ability to travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Instructors facilitate video presentations, lectures, skills demonstrations, and testing.
• Complete post-course rosters and paperwork; answer questions from students.
• Teach CPR / AED and First Aid under the American Heart Association curriculum.
