Job summary

Agvance Shelbyville, IL is seeking an Agronomy Customer Support Advisor who blends agronomy knowledge with technology to support co-ops, retailers, and distributors. You will engage customers, diagnose issues, and implement solutions while collaborating with product teams.

The role involves conducting discovery, training staff, and leading implementations of Agvance modules. Travel to customer sites will be periodic.

Qualifications

• Degree in Agronomy or related field, or equivalent hands-on ag retail experience.
• Experience with retail agronomy operations and ag software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to diverse audiences.
• Organized, detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel for trade shows and customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for ag retail customers using Agvance agronomy features.
• Collaborate with development to document feature requests, report bugs, and translate feedback.
• Conduct discovery conversations to identify unmet needs and workflow gaps.
• Lead or support deployments of Agvance modules, including configuration and go-live.
• Perform business process reviews with new and existing customers.
• Deliver training to retail staff on Agvance features and best practices.
• Represent SSI at trade shows and industry events as an agronomy expert.
• Assist sales team with on-site demos and prospect engagements.
• Research industry trends to keep SSI ahead of retailer needs.
• All other duties as assigned.
