Job summary

Top Ag Cooperative, Inc. is seeking an agronomy support professional in Illinois to work with Sales Agronomists, learning to recommend seed, crop nutrients, and crop protection products, while providing operational support to the Agronomy Team.

The role requires knowledge of agronomy portfolios, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in outdoor and office environments, with weekend/seasonal/overtime flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Plant and Soil Science, or related field.
• Experience in Ag Retail.
• Previous experience as a Custom Applicator.
• Interest in pursuing Certified Crop Advisor certification.

Summary:

This position is responsible for working closely with the Sales Agronomists learning to make recommendations to customers regarding seed, crop nutrients, and crop protection products. This position will also provide operational support to the Agronomy Team.

• Knowledge of agronomic seed, chemical, and fertilizer product portfolios

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver's license
• State of Illinois Commercial Applicator License required (training will be provided if necessary)

Working Conditions

Position operates in both an outdoor environment and an office environment. Requires sitting and standing for prolonged periods, working on a computer, and exposure to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, chemicals, and internal and external temperature/weather conditions (from -20 to +100 degrees). Employee must be willing to work weekends, seasonal hours, holidays, and overtime if needed.
