Job summary

InsightFS, headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin, is seeking an Agronomy Operations intern to learn the foundations of our system and industry under location management.

You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy field operations, assist with facility and equipment maintenance, visit locations and customers, and work with field research equipment and crop monitoring technology. CDL and applicator licenses required later, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certificate at a community college, technical college or university.
• Must have ability to obtain a CDL and commercial applicator's license with required endorsements.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required.
• Ability to work independently and develop skills while learning the system and industry.
• Willingness to travel and lift up to 70 pounds; able to work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers, building professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
