Job summary

InsightFS in Wisconsin offers an Agronomy Operations internship under location management to learn the foundation of the system and industry and prepare for a future career. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy and assist with operations, maintenance, and customer relations.

The role includes field scouting with research equipment, crop nutrition and protection applications, and building experience in ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at time internship begins.
• Ability to obtain a CDL and commercial applicator's license with required endorsements, driving record, and medical card.
• Able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
• Frequently lift 51-70 pounds and work in varied weather and heights.
• Experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding and Experience With Ordering, Receiving, And Inventory Control.
