Job summary

Insight FS in Wisconsin is seeking an Agronomy Operations intern to learn the foundations of our system and industry under location management. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy and field operations, building professional relationships with customers and operating crop monitoring equipment.

Candidates must be pursuing a degree, able to obtain CDL and commercial applicator licenses, and willing to travel and lift heavy objects.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a college/university and in good academic standing at internship start.
• Must be able to obtain CDL and commercial applicator license with required endorsements and a valid medical card.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and meet job requirements.
• Willingness to travel and overnight stays as needed; must lift 51–70 pounds.
• Must have valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record; willing to work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers, building professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding of ordering, receiving and inventory control.
