Job summary

Insight FS in Central, WI is seeking an Exploring Ag Agronomy Intern to support agronomy operations under site management. The role offers hands-on experience in field activities, equipment maintenance, and building professional relationships with customers.

You will learn field research techniques, crop scouting, and inventory control while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. CDL and commercial applicator licensing may be needed as part of training.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification in agronomy or a related field.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL and a commercial applicator’s license with required endorsements.
• Must have a satisfactory driving record and valid medical card.
• Must be able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on agronomy field and operations experience.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

Education

Pursuing degree or certification in agronomy or related field
