Job summary

South Central FS is seeking a MiField Agronomy Intern to support data-driven go-to-market strategies from Effingham, IL. The role involves field observations, data analysis, and collaboration with FS crop specialists to turn data into actionable insights.

The position offers hands-on experience with Precision farming, tissue sampling, drone imagery, and customer engagement, with compensation noted as $16–$17 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of college experience in an agriculture-related degree program.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with crop specialist on utilizing MiField technology and discuss and deliver results with recommendations to customers.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
• Monitor trials weekly and perform in-season assessments.
• Complete tissue sampling of trial fields and others as needed.
• Utilize drone and satellite imagery to collect data.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies, including EHS, OSHA and DOT policies.
