Job summary

South Central FS, Inc. is seeking a MiField Agronomy Intern in Effingham, IL. Under the Area Agronomy Manager, you will help turn field data into actionable insights by analyzing MiField imagery and supporting precision farming deployments.

This internship provides hands-on experience with crop trials, tissue sampling, drone data, and customer interaction, with a path toward growth within FS Crop Specialists and the Precision Ag team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of college experience in an ag-related degree program.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with crop specialist on MiField technology and deliver results with recommendations to customers.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
• Monitor trials weekly and perform in-season assessments.
• Complete tissue sampling of trial fields and others as needed.
• Utilize drone and satellite imagery to collect data.
