Job summary

South Central FS, Inc. offers an Agronomy MiField Intern position in Stewardson, IL.

You will work under the Area Agronomy Manager, using data and in-field observations to convert insights into go-to-market actions and support grower customers. The role includes tissue sampling, drone/satellite imagery analysis, and hands-on skill development in precision farming while collaborating with FS Crop Specialists and the Precision Ag team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of college experience in an agriculture-related degree program.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Willingness to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Work with crop specialist on utilizing MiField technology, and discuss and deliver results with recommendations to customers.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
• Monitor trials weekly and perform in-season assessments.
• Complete tissue sampling of trial fields and others as needed.
• Utilize drone and satellite imagery to collect data.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies (EHS, OSHA, DOT).
• All other duties as assigned
