Job summary

South Central FS, Inc. is seeking a MiField Agronomy Intern in Stewardson, IL. The role supports the Area Agronomy Manager by turning data from MiField trials into actionable insights and by performing regular crop field inspections.

You will gain hands-on experience with Precision farming, tissue sampling, and field evaluations while interacting with grower customers. The internship offers exposure to FS Crop Specialists, the Precision Ag department, and various educational activities designed

Qualifications

Normally requires at least one year of college experience in an ag-related degree program.
Valid Driver’s License is required.
Ability to work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

Work with crop specialist on utilizing MiField technology and discuss results with recommendations to customers.
Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology.
Monitor trials weekly and perform in-season assessments.
Complete tissue sampling of trial fields as needed.
Utilize drone and satellite imagery to collect data.
Adhere to safety rules, EHS, OSHA and DOT policies at all times.
All other duties as assigned.
