Job summary

Heritage FS, Inc. in Indiana is offering a Summer 2027 Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern position. You will train and assist with general agronomy tasks to learn the FS and GROWMARK system, the agriculture industry, and prepare for a future career.

This internship emphasizes hands-on field experience, equipment operation, crop monitoring, and project-based learning. The program runs 9–10 weeks, requires independent and team work, and includes a required internship event in

Qualifications

Must be pursuing a degree or certification in a related field with good academic standing.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication, customer focus, and decision-making skills.
Valid driver's license; willing to travel including overnight travel; CDL preferred.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
Willingness to participate in required trainings.

Responsibilities

Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
Gains understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
