Job summary

AgVantage FS, based in Iowa, is seeking an Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Operations Intern for the Spring/Summer 2027 period. Under location management, you will train and assist with general agronomy functions to learn the FS and GROWMARK System, the agriculture industry, and to prepare for a future career.

Gain hands-on field experience, assist with facility maintenance, build professional relationships with FS locations and customers, and operate field research equipment for scouting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from a higher education institution.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers to build professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding of ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
