Heritage FS's GROWMARK Exploring Agriculture Agronomy Intern position in Gilman, IL offers hands-on experience in agronomy operations and field equipment, with opportunities to visit FS locations and build professional relationships. The internship aims to train in crop nutrition, crop protection, and inventory control during the Summer of 2027.

The role requires pursuing a degree or certification, willingness to travel (CDL preferred), and the ability to lift up to 70 pounds in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or certification from a college, technical college, or university.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel; CDL preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in required training related to FS/GROWMARK policies.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assists with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visits FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operates field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Applies crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gains understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
