Job summary

The Service Writer at KanEquip assists the Service Manager onsite with administrative duties and repair orders for agricultural and construction equipment. You will handle customer service, paperwork flow within the service department, and coordinate between service, parts, and warranty teams.

Key daily tasks include answering calls, greeting walk-ins, scheduling jobs, processing warranty paperwork, assisting technicians, coordinating pickups and deliveries, and maintaining safety and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a service department, preferably as a technician in an agricultural dealership.
• Appropriate vocational education required; degree and certifications preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer calls and greet walk-ins, addressing their needs and coordinating next steps.
• Schedule and organize jobs for efficient department performance; process paperwork including warranty documentation.
• Assist technicians with paperwork, warranty descriptions, and vendor inquiries.
• Coordinate trucking operations, scheduling, pickups and deliveries, and billing for eligible jobs.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through follow-ups, feedback, and clear communication.
