KanEquip Career Opportunities seeks a Working Shop Foreman to assist the Service Manager in directing the service department, mentoring apprentices, and ensuring quality repairs. You will guide diagnostics, supervise workflow, and maintain safe, efficient shop operations while coordinating with customers and staff.

The role requires extensive technician experience in agricultural equipment, strong communication, and the ability to manage scheduling and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ technician experience in an agricultural dealership.
• Vocational education required; degrees/certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication with customers and employees is required.
• Ability to use computer systems, MS Office and online tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager with non-supervisory direction in the service department.
• Develop apprentices and entry-level technicians through instruction.
• Ensure quality work with minimal rework and proper diagnostics.
• Assist with scheduling, customer calls, and status updates on repairs.
• Help with paperwork, warranty docs, and job openings/closeouts.
• Maintain safe, clean shop and orderly offices; support tools purchase.
• Promote company values and participate in recognition programs.
• Coordinate with technicians, writers, sales and parts staff.
