Sales Rep with a Purpose

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about cultivating a responsible approach to growth. Beyond identifying new markets, leads, pitching prospects, and connecting customers to the right products, we need someone engaged with our mission to help restore and regenerate our planet. Ideal candidates will have experience in the Agriculture, Lawn & Garden, Horticulture, Soil Media, and/or Fertilizer Industry and a desire to make a positive impact.

This is a remote role; candidates must reside in or near Western Wisconsin and be able to visit customers throughout the region.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a productive sales lead network
  • Communicate with customers and leads
  • Manage customer relationships through ongoing communication
  • Introduce new products to prospects and customers
  • Maintain sales reports and forecasts
  • Assist with organizational and territory planning
  • Develop and increase sales revenue to meet targets
  • Participate in sales training and orientation
  • Act as a knowledgeable expert to customers
  • Assist with trade show planning and attendance
  • Coordinate sales meetings and monitor competitive activity
  • Troubleshoot product issues and handle customer questions and complaints

Regional travel between Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin, as well as for trade shows, will be required.

Background / Skills / Abilities
  • At least three years of sales experience in relevant industries; five years preferred
  • Experience as a Sales Agronomist is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of the sales cycle and CRM proficiency
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and good IT skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in high-paced environments
  • Commitment to company values and environmental sustainability
Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
