Job summary

LandMark Implement in Holdrege, NE offers an internship in the Sales department designed to teach how to create and grow customer relationships and match customers with the right equipment and technology for their farming operation. Interns will learn to manage a sale from start to finish and will be the first to train on the latest equipment and technology in the industry.

Selected candidates may return for a second-year internship with a $1000 scholarship.

Qualifications

• College students in their second year of a two-year degree or sophomores in a four-year degree
• Desire to work in Agriculture and Sales
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and in groups
• Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• A willingness to learn and develop oneself

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting new equipment field demonstrations
• Work through the sales process from sales quotes, purchase orders, contracts, and settlement paperwork
• Assist in maintaining all customer information in assigned territory and manage customer relationships for LandMark Implement, Inc.
• Attend applicable sales training events/seminars, customer clinics, and demonstrations as required by the company
• Understand the importance of being a valued part of a customer’s operation and not just a transactional salesperson
• Review a business plan for a producer
• Understand value-added services and products
• Utilize our customer relationship management tool to record customer contacts
