Job summary

Iowa Farm Bureau is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to serve Marion and Mahaska counties. The role partners with the Regional Manager and County Boards to implement marketing strategies, manage social media, and develop promotional programs with guidance from the Board.

The ideal candidate is passionate about agriculture and will assist with Ag in the Classroom, member outreach, event planning, and maintaining organized office records as part of a collaborative team.

• Passion for agriculture and ability to work with volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Ag in the Classroom opportunities within county school districts by assisting the current Ag in the Classroom coordinator.
• Work with the Regional Manager, Committee Chairs, Executive Officers and Board of Directors on projects or county business.
• Enhance the social media presence of the County Farm Bureau.
• Manage weekly content and write articles for the Iowa Farm Bureau Spokesman pages for Mahaska and Marion Counties.
• Prepare documents for county Board of Directors monthly meetings including notices, minutes, topics, agendas and refreshments.
• Membership database update and data mining; collect and process memberships.
• Establish and maintain an organized filing system and oversee office records according to retention policy.
• Serve as a liaison between the Regional Manager and the Board of Directors.
• Attend County Supervisor meetings and other organization meetings as needed.
• Plan and organize events as requested by the Board of Directors and Regional Manager.
