Agriculture, Landscape & Grounds Manager

Pinehaven Farm is a family-owned farm and seasonal entertainment destination in Wyoming, Minnesota. Since 1952, we've been creating memorable experiences for families through our Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch, attractions, food, live entertainment, and special events. Each fall, our team welcomes thousands of guests and works together to provide a fun, safe, and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.

Pinehaven Farm | Full-Time, Seasonal with Year-Round Potential

Pay Rate: $24-$30 depending on experience

Pinehaven Farm is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team in an Agriculture, Landscape & Grounds Management role. This is a hands-on position responsible for helping care for the farm’s crops, grounds, landscaping, and mowing operations throughout the growing season.

We are open to structuring this position in different ways based on the applicant's experience and interests. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can take on both the agricultural and grounds/landscape responsibilities. However, we are also willing to consider two separate positions for candidates who have strong experience in one area but not the other. These positions could potentially offer part-time or flexible hours depending on the candidate's availability and Pinehaven's needs.

Agriculture & Crop Production

• Prepare fields for planting, including soil preparation, and spreading compost
• Learn and assist with Pinehaven Farm's crop production practices
• Plant and care for pumpkins, corn, flowers, and other crops
• Monitor crops throughout the growing season
• Perform regular weeding, fertilizing, spraying, watering, and general crop maintenance
• Assist with harvesting and preparing crops for the fall season
• Help identify and address crop, soil, weed, pest, and other growing concerns
• Operate tractors and other agricultural equipment
• Learn to use Pinehaven's modern John Deere equipment, including GPS-guided planting equipment

Landscape & Grounds Management

• Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, flower beds, and other areas throughout the farm
• Manage and participate in the farm's summer mowing operations
• Help schedule, direct, and oversee the mowing crew
• Operate commercial mowing and landscaping equipment
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of guest areas throughout the property
• Assist with landscaping projects, seasonal plantings, and general grounds maintenance
• Help keep the farm looking clean, safe, and well-maintained for guests

Equipment & General Farm Work

• Perform routine equipment checks and communicate maintenance needs
• Assist with general farm maintenance and projects throughout the year
• Work closely with our Operations Manager to ensure agricultural and grounds work is completed efficiently and on schedule
• Help with other farm tasks and projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• Agricultural, landscaping, groundskeeping, or equipment experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Strong knowledge and experience in agriculture OR landscaping/grounds maintenance is valuable, even if you don't have experience in both areas
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning to operate equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
• Comfortable leading and working alongside a small crew
• Able to safely operate tractors, mowers, and other equipment or willing to learn
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to recognize when something needs attention
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk, and perform physical work throughout the day

Schedule & Season

The full position would typically begin in mid-March and continue through late November or early December , depending on weather and seasonal needs.

• Primarily Monday–Friday
• Some weekend work may be needed during the busy fall season
• January and February off with the option for part-time winter work depending on the candidate's skills, availability, and Pinehaven's needs
• Full-time, year-round employment may be available for the right candidate
