Job summary

Mid-States Millwright & Builders is seeking Millwright I and Millwright II to join our field operations team. Travel to agricultural, grain handling, food-grade, and ethanol facilities across the country to install, repair, maintain, and upgrade equipment that keeps customers operating efficiently.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to safely work at heights of 200+ feet using fall protection.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively on a team.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel for work (20 days on / 5 days off).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install grain storage, grain handling, and processing equipment at new and existing facilities.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on agricultural, food-grade, and ethanol processing equipment.
• Assemble machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues in the field.
• Read and follow project plans and installation specifications.
• Work safely while operating at heights using fall protection.
• Operate or become certified to operate forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other job site equipment.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Superintendents, Safety, Drafting, and Field Operations teams.
• Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Participate in weekly toolbox talks and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Communicate progress and completed work with your crew leader or superintendent.
• Represent Mid-States professionally while working with customers and subcontractors.
