Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a self-motivated sales professional to manage an insurance sales territory in Colorado. You will develop new business, meet producers and agribusinesses on-site, and drive revenue across property & casualty, health, and farm packages.

Under the Director of Sales, you will work independently, travel extensively (75-100%), and partner with an Account Executive to hit annual goals while adhering to regulatory requirements and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or similar field or equivalent combination.
• 2+ years' sales experience with emphasis on marketing, insurance, and/or business development.
• Agricultural background preferred.
• Must possess or obtain property and casualty license within 90 days; life/health license within 6 months; valid driver's license.
• Travel 75-100%.

Responsibilities

• Achieve new business sales goals within assigned territory for Property and Casualty lines, including Workers' Compensation, and health insurance & other benefits.
• Meet with cooperative members and prospects to evaluate insurance needs and describe offerings; gather forms and work with staff for timely submissions.
• Solicit services and enhance relationships with key accounts via regular calls and visits; provide updates on progress and developments.
• Collaborate with sales leaders in developing sales and marketing strategy for the region.
• Ensure communications are compliant with policy and regulations; follow privacy standards.
• Engage in problem-solving and training to improve sales; maintain records of customer communications and metrics.
• Maintain integrity and privacy; stay informed on regulatory mandates and ensure compliance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
