Job summary

Interns gain exposure to underwriting loans, analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows, and participate in team meetings and organizational learning sessions during a 12-week summer

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Ag Business, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics or similar.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong desire to understand ag finance, lending and credit business.
• Available for a 12-week internship during summer.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to credit philosophies for short, intermediate and long-term financing.
• Learn resources and techniques for underwriting loans.
• Make decisions on new and existing operating, term and real estate loan applications.
• Input customer financial information and analyze balance sheets, income statements and cash flows.
• Research industry information.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
• Assist with special projects and learn loan administration processes.
