Job summary

CoBank in Fargo, ND is seeking a Credit Analyst Intern for a 10-week summer program. You will analyze financial statements and cash flow, participate in portfolio management tasks, and complete a capstone project with mentorship.

The role is hybrid with in-office days and approximately 40 hours per week. Start May 24, 2027, End July 30, 2027; interns gain hands-on experience in credit analysis within the Regional Agribusiness Banking Group (RABG) and have a pathway to full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree and in good academic standing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Aptitude for learning other software applications.
• Ability to perform research across multiple systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience in agriculture, banking or financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze balance sheets, cash flow, profitability, liquidity and solvency for credit reports.
• Engage in portfolio management tasks including compliance, finance, legal and closing-related issues.
• Develop analytical skills through hands-on training and mentorship.
• Complete a capstone summer project such as industry research or portfolio analysis.
• Support regional agribusiness banking team with research and market outlooks.
