Job summary

CoBank is seeking a Credit Analyst Intern in St. Louis, MO, for a 10-week paid program with hands-on credit analysis experience. You will review balance sheets, cash flow, and solvency, while participating in currency research, training, and capstone project development.

The internship offers a hybrid work model, mentorship, and exposure to a broad agribusiness banking team within the Regional Agribusiness Banking Group (RABG).

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, or related field.
• Strong Excel and general software aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to conduct research across multiple systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in agriculture, banking, or financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze balance sheets, cash flow, profitability, liquidity, and solvency statements for commercial credit reports.
• Engage in portfolio management tasks including addressing compliance, finance, legal, and closing-related issues.
• Develop analytical skills through hands-on training, mentorship, and peer support.
• Complete a capstone summer project involving industry research, portfolio analysis, or market outlooks.
• Spreading financials and writing credit reports.
• Attending customer visits / events as available.
