Job summary

First Bank & Trust Company in Clinton, North Carolina is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to support Agricultural Loan Officers across NC, handling underwriting, credit analysis, loan documentation, and portfolio administration.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and at least five years in portfolio management or banking, with strong financial analysis and Excel skills, excellent communication with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of portfolio management, loan processing, or related banking experience.
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, risk management, and due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Support Agricultural Loan Officers.
• Assist in managing a commercial loan portfolio for quality, profitability and growth.
• Complete new and renewed loan underwriting and verify credit request packages.
• Act as primary contact and account manager for selected relationships.
• Assist in underwriting credit requests and risk assessments for new and renewing loans.
• Support the creation of loan packages, commitment letters, and credit narratives.
• Maintain accurate loan files and data integrity.
• Provide customer service by resolving loan-related issues and assisting in closings.
• Stay informed on industry trends and economic developments affecting the portfolio.
• Monitor past dues, overdrafts, and risk grading for the portfolio.
• Perform other duties as assigned by commercial loan officers.
