Job summary

The Polo Room Palm Beach is seeking an dynamic Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations at our new upscale restaurant in the Palm Beach/West Palm Beach area. You will oversee staff, service standards, and guest experiences while driving sales and maintaining high morale.

The ideal AGM brings strong leadership, culinary passion, and proven restaurant management experience to ensure exceptional dining experiences in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management.
• Strong leadership skills in hospitality or restaurant settings.
• Proficiency with POS systems (TOAST) and cash handling.
• Exceptional customer service with guest satisfaction focus.
• Experience with staff training, development and shift supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills for fast-paced environments.
• Leadership qualities inspiring teamwork and operational excellence.
• Experience in restaurant management or assistant roles is desirable.
• Wine certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Support marketing efforts to promote upscale dining.
• Collaborate with management to ensure excellent guest experiences.
• Monitor service flow and uphold SOPs across FOH operations.
• Supervise and train staff on service standards, safety, and cleanliness.
• Lead pre-shift service meetings to improve FOH performance.
• Perform opening/closing duties and ensure proper cash handling.
• Oversee bar, w/c, storage areas for cleanliness and DOH compliance.
• Assist with POS system updates and menu changes.
• Ensure health and safety regulations in food handling.
