Job summary

A&R Group is seeking an ambitious Assistant General Manager to lead Hampton Inn Metairie in Metairie, LA. You will oversee Front Desk, Housekeeping, Breakfast and Maintenance, drive guest satisfaction, and ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards.

As the right hand to the GM, you will coach teams, manage daily operations, and guide service recovery, with a clear path toward General Manager for the right candidate. This is a hands-on, high-energy hospitality leadership role.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of hotel management or supervisory experience (Front Office Manager, Executive Housekeeper, AGM or similar).
• Hands-on knowledge of Front Desk, Housekeeping and hotel operations.
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate hourly teams.
• Strong guest service, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for Front Office, Housekeeping, Breakfast and Engineering/Maintenance.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and act as the hotel’s senior leader when the General Manager is away.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house daily to keep the hotel spotless and up to Hilton standards.
• Ensure the free hot breakfast runs smoothly, stays stocked and meets brand standards every morning.
