The University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research seeks a full-time Social Science Data Analyst (Intermediate) to collaborate with DADC on aging-related population surveys such as NHATS/NSOC. The role focuses on data preparation, statistical analysis, and documentation, reporting to the DADC program director.

The position is a two-year term-limited role with potential extension based on funding and performance, with onsite work in Ann Arbor and hybrid options.

Formación

• Master's degree in social science or public health or related field.
• 2–3 years of work experience with complex population-based surveys.
• Ability to program, manage data and conduct analyses with Stata or R.
• Strong communication, documentation and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare survey data and analytic files; write programs to clean and recode data.
• Perform statistical analyses including GLMs, survival, and mixed models; explore ML methods.
• Document analytic decisions and contribute to publications and presentations.
