Job summary

AARP Foundation in Washington, DC is seeking a Research Analyst to join a team advancing aging and economic security through data-driven insights. You will collect, analyze, and visualize data and translate findings into accessible outputs for diverse audiences.

You will coordinate cross-functional projects, support development of research tools, and help integrate results into program design. A bachelor’s degree and hands-on experience with R, Python, or similar tools are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field with experience applying research methods.
  • Two+ years of quantitative analysis, data visualization, and statistical modeling with listed tools.
  • Experience in acquiring, cleaning, and integrating data from multiple sources.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses of internal and external datasets to answer research questions.
  • Support development of tools and processes for quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Describe and explain data analyses to non-technical audiences in clear verbal, written, and visual forms.
  • Execute visualization of research data and findings and support sharing with internal/external audiences.
  • Create and maintain a compendium of essential research and data related to the organization’s targets.
  • Support integration of research results into program development and evaluation.
