Job summary

The NYC Department for the Aging (NYC Aging) seeks an Aging Connect Generalist to support public programs and services for older New Yorkers. The role reports to the Senior Director of Aging Connect and advances the agency's aims in the community.

Responsibilities include handling CTS tickets, supporting initiatives, assisting callers, and documenting interactions in CTS. The position requires strong communication, training, and outreach skills, with opportunities to present to partners citywide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience in community work or related duties.
• HS diploma with 6 years of related experience accepted as equivalent.
• Equivalency recognized between education and experience with at least 1 year in related duties.

Responsibilities

• Support CTS Tickets and complaints handling for Aging Connect.
• Assist with initiatives, partnerships, and public/private collaborations.
• Answer calls and emails, provide resources and information to seniors, caregivers, and professionals.
• Record and maintain call information in the CTS system.
• Prepare materials and deliver trainings; engage stakeholders to ensure procedures are understood.
• Attend community events and deliver presentations to external partners.
