Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Software Engineering Manager 2 in Melbourne, FL to lead a 10–20 person team through the full SDLC in an Agile environment. The role requires active DoD Secret clearance and a background in software development.

The position is on-site with no remote option, and up to 10% travel may be required. Primary responsibilities include staff management, project execution, and process improvement within an IPT framework.

Qualifications

• Must have a STEM degree and 9 years of related experience OR Master’s with 7 years OR PhD with 4 years in software development.
• Experience in leadership using Agile development (Product Owner, SCRUM Master) and SDLC.
• Proficient in multiple programming languages and strong proposal and program management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–20 engineers to complete the full SDLC in an Agile environment.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Cloud & Applications, and IT test teams to meet contract objectives.
• Apply Agile techniques and metrics to manage progress and quality throughout the life cycle.
