Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer - DevOps to join onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will lead a software team, refactor monolithic code to microservices, and implement core infrastructure while ensuring robust security practices.

The role requires strong C#/.NET Core skills, full-stack experience, and the ability to mentor others in Agile environments. A Secret clearance is required and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field from an accredited university with 8+ years of relevant experience (or STEM Master’s with 6+ years, or STEM PhD with 4+ years).
• Experience building full-stack apps using C#/.NET Core and UI frameworks like React/Angular/Blazor.
• Experience with RESTful or gRPC services and databases.
• Security clearance: active in-scope government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse software engineering team to refactor monolithic code to micro-service architecture.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack C#/.NET apps including backend APIs and Blazor UI.
• Refactor monolithic systems into microservices using domain-driven design.
• Implement and manage core infra services and diagnose network-related connectivity issues.
• Mentor junior developers and promote DevOps and coding best practices.
