Job summary

Two Six Technologies in McLean, VA is seeking a Project Manager to drive delivery of customer-focused IT projects. You will collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, and operations teams to assess requirements, coordinate resources, and deliver outcomes for clients.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Agile project management experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to tailor standard lifecycles to a fast-paced environment. Active TS/SCI w.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience as a Scrum Master for multiple teams.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience organizing and facilitating sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related events.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience using Jira to plan and track projects, including development of dashboards, boards, projects, and user stories.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience effectively communicating across programs and with customers, stakeholders, and other contractors.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience sharing knowledge and learning from others to ensure the team’s success.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience managing priorities across multiple projects (time management).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate scrum ceremonies and communicate with stakeholders.
• Coordinate development of deliverables and products.
• Manage multiple medium- to large-scale projects through all sprints/iterations and phases of the project.
• Organize and facilitate sprint planning and release planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and other Agile-related events.
• Track and communicate team metrics and sprint/release progress to all teams and management.
• Partner with product owners, Agile coaches, and scrum teams to develop user stories and acceptance criteria definition, facilitate the definition of minimal viable product, and lead continuous refinement and prioritization of the product backlog.
• Assist the team in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition.
• Assist with removal of obstacles that may hinder the team’s ability to deliver assigned goals.
• Update Agile tracking systems to provide transparency on product and sprint backlogs.
• Promote continuous improvement and help teams increase velocity.
• Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity and innovation.
• Ability to communicate, influence, and partner effectively using strong verbal and written communication.
• Prepare and present program status reports and briefings to outside stakeholders.
