Job summary

COOLSOFT seeks an Agile IT Solutions Analyst in Lansing, MI for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on process modeling, Agile practices, and IT solution delivery within the EGLE/DTMB environment.

The analyst will bridge DTMB and stakeholders, lead elicitation sessions, and model processes to shape strategy and requirements for enhancements and related work. Hybrid onsite schedule with two mandatory in-person days weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years conducting business process review and requirements elicitation and documentation to include process modeling.
• Minimum of 5 years developing and/or managing user stories on Agile development project(s).
• Minimum of 2 years facilitating discussions with senior management to determine strategy, develop road maps and/or gain consensus.
• Minimum of 2 years developing/implementing IT solutions for public use.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between DTMB and project stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy and requirements.
• Provide expert facilitation, elicitation, and process modeling to support ongoing enhancements.
• Contribute to EGLE support and DTMB Agency Services BA team activities.
• Help EGLE navigate constraints and enablers per DTMB policies and practices.

Note:

*- Interview Process: 1st round virtual, 2nd round in-person. Candidates MUST be available for an in-person interview.

*At the time of hire, the candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship from the State of Michigan

*- Hybrid: Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week. Wednesdays and Thursdays are required onsite days.

*- Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays & follow the hybrid schedule)

Description:

Key responsibilities include being the liaison between DTMB and the project stakeholders, as well as providing expert facilitation and elicitation and process modeling to help develop strategy and requirements for ongoing enhancements and related work projects. In addition, as part of the overall support for EGLE, this person will be a critical member of the DTMB Agency Services Business Analyst team, participating in various related work requests for EGLE and contributing to the operational activities of the BA team.

Customer service and being a champion to ease Agency compliance with DTMB policies and practices are key performance expectations for this person. They must be able to quickly gain a working understanding of applicable constraints and enablers and help EGLE navigate those for the success for their projects and work requests.

DTMB Agency Services and EGLE welcomes candidates that are self-directed, well organized, confident in their ability to build relationships, quick to come up to speed on new assignments, and able to be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and/or direction.

Required:

• Minimum of 7 years conducting business process review and requirements elicitation and documentation to include process modeling

• Minimum of 5 years developing and/or managing user stories on Agile development project(s)

• Minimum of 2 years working directly with senior management in facilitating discussions to determine strategy, develop road maps and/or gain consensus to resolve opposing positions

• Minimum of 2 years working on projects developing/implementing IT solutions for public use

Preferred:

• Minimum of 2 years supporting the development of or compliance to statement of work and/or other work agreements/contracts

• Minimum of 1 year working with programs governed by state and/or federal regulations

• Bachelors degree
