Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee design, development, and delivery of IT initiatives for a large federal entity. You will participate in project design, assist with project plans, assess resources, and implement management plans for several projects, with a strong emphasis on Agile practices.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading IT projects, coordinating cross-functional teams of developers, testers, and DevOps, and delivering on time and on budget in a

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in project management.
• 5+ years of IT project leadership with 3 on-time, on-budget deliveries.
• Experience in Java/JavaScript development.
• API management and RESTful APIs across cloud/on-prem environments.
• RDBMS and NoSQL database development foundations.
• 5+ years leading an Agile scrum team with developers, testers and DevOps.
• Experience with public agency interfaces.
• Master's degree or PM certification.
• 5+ years programming in Java, JavaScript, JBOSS Fuse, AngularJS.
• Experience in health and human services domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and schedule for regular value delivery.
• Organize and lead project status and working meetings.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports.
• Manage risks and issues; correct deviations and plan delivery.
• Define initiatives for continuous process improvements and monitoring.
• Manage the team in making decisions on system implementation and maintenance.
• Develop and update business process documentation for testing and training management.
• Define and manage a defined project management process and champion agile best practices.
• Deliver an agile transformation plan to move to a desired state.
• Use project performance metrics to assess the program.
• Assist in implementing agile tools, guidelines, and metrics for standardized execution.
• Monitor overall cost, schedules, and technical quality; provide analysis reports.
