Job summary

Dover Networks LLC is seeking a Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies in a security-focused environment. The role involves building Java Spring Boot microservices, optimizing AWS services with Python, and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Maven and GitLab.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience or a Master’s with 10 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience with microservice architectures and cloud-native development

Responsibilities

• Write Java Spring Boot microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Use Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Build REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principles utilizing Maven, GitLab and GitOps
• Participate in Agile development and delivery of software

Salary Range: $234k-$256k per year with an additional $59k-$64k in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions

The Work:

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:

• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 12 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 10 years of relevant experience.
