Job summary

Dover Networks LLC is seeking a Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy operational system with a microservices-based architecture on AWS. You’ll write Java Spring Boot microservices, optimize AWS with Python, and build REST services to handle complex data objects.

You will implement CI/CD using Maven, GitLab, and GitOps in an Agile team. A Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Poly is required for this role, with a competitive compensation package including significant 401(k) contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 7 years.
• Experience with Cucumber Testing.
• Experience with Cypress and Playwright Testing.
• Proficient in Python.
• CI/CD tools: AWS, Maven, GitLab, and GitOps.
• Cloud environment development experience.
• Experience with Rules Engines.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.

Salary Range: $213k-$233k per year with an additional $53k-$58k in immediately vested company 401(k) contributions

The Work:

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:

• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principles utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
