Job summary

Onyx Point, LLC. is seeking a Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy system using a microservices-based architecture. You will write Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, optimize services with Python, and implement CI/CD with Maven, GitLab and GitOps.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with full scope polygraph clearance and a U.S. citizenship. Collaboration in an Agile team and strong communication are essential for success.

The Work

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies. The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:

• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, apply and maintain software systems. Generalize techniques, as appropriate, to apply to multiple domains. Develop and provide appropriate documentation and training. Present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree plus twelve years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 14 yers of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 16 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. Certifications count as a year experience.

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Degree may be waived for technical experience in domain skillsets outlined the requisition posting. Certifications count as a year experience.

Compensation

We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
