Stratyx in Annapolis Junction, MD is hiring a Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy system with a microservices approach. You will implement Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, and use Python to optimize AWS resources like Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3.

Responsibilities include building REST services, enabling complex data filtering, and driving CI/CD with Maven, GitLab, and GitOps. You will work in an agile, collaborative team environment with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
• 9+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 7+ years
• Experience with microservices architectures and CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with AWS native services and Java/Spring Boot
• Proficiency in building REST services and data filtering

Responsabilités

• Write Java Spring Boot microservice applications utilizing AWS

The Microservices Developer will be responsible for:• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies• Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps• Agile development and delivery of software• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.Basic Qualifications :• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.Desired skills (2 of the below):• Java, Spring boot or python• JSON Schema• Microservice architectures• CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, , Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, docker, Ansible• Database : NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema Design• OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience• Test frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and Cucumber
